Indoorswomen - Episode 83 - Movies from 1983!

Hi all! It is our podcast's 4th birthday and our 83rd traditionally-numbered episode! We decided to celebrate by talking about movies from our birth year. 1983 was, as it turns out.... not the greatest year for movies, but we do have a few gems to share with you.

Please enjoy our chat focusing on Return of the Jedi, War Games, MANY Stephen King adaptations, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, and a little Mickey's Christmas Carol.

Random recs this week are Brittany Runs a Marathon and Borderlands 3.

As always, our lovely intro/outro music is We are Highscore by Krackatoa.

Indoorswomen - Episode 80 - TV Shows That Ended Too Soon (Part II)

In a perfect world, the tenure of a television show would solely depend on how much we love it and its potential for greatness. Unfortunately network bigwigs, scheduling gaffes, actors’ whims, and shakey pilots often get in the way. In honor of shows underappreciated in their time, our topic today is TV shows that ended too soon PART II!!! Because why not?

Today we start off with some fancasting of our fave fun novels! Meg casts "Red, White, and Royal Blue" and Jen casts "Succubus Blues"! Read them and let us know how you would cast your movies!

Then, on our main topic, we cover Hannibal, Everything Sucks, Deadwood, Trophy Wife, Santa Clarita Diet, and Party Down, plus some honorable mentions of TV shows that weren't given a fair shake.

Random recs this week are Final Space and Evvie Drake Starts Over.

As always, our intro/outro music is "We are Highscore" by Krackatoa.

Indoorswomen - Episode 79 - Stop Trying to Make “Spiders-Man” Happen

We wrap up the episode with our Random Recommendations: The Hate U Give and Red, White & Royal Blue.

And thanks to Diana of the Happily Ever Aftermath Podcast (www.heamcast.libsyn.com) for our mini-discussion topic: Which artist’s body of work would we take credit for?

Indoorswomen Rerun! - Episode 42 - Summertime Media: Enjoy the Outdoors While Staying Indoors!

Wait, didn't we rerun this episode last summer? Yes, we did, and we're doing it again! Because now is the perfect time to chill out with our favorite summertime media. Also discussed in this episode: Spider-Man: Homecoming! Brush up before you see Far From Home.

Original Show Notes:

Correction: When Jen refers to the E.T. "DVD", she of course means "VHS tape" because DVDs weren't invented yet. #old

Hey guys, it's summer and we have had a lot of reruns lately so we are super excited to bring you some brand new original content! We are discussing our favorite summer movies and books! What gives us that front porch sitting, toes in the water, sun and sand and fun and friendship feeling? Answers include Judy Blume novels, sci-fi romps, and summer blockbusters like Jaws and Independence Day.

A discussion of summer movies wouldn't be complete without our (gushing) review of the adorable Spider-man: Homecoming! Plus, our random recs: MST3K: The Return and Rick and Morty!
